Alternative accommodation and emergency kennelling up to 25% of the buildings sum insured if your home is made uninhabitable by any cause covered under the buildings section of this policy.
Park home contents cover up to £75,000
Valuables up to £20,000 within the park home
Increased contents cover by 10%, one month before and one month after a special event or religious festival
All contents are replaced on a new for old basis, except pedal cycles and clothing

What’s included in Park Home Legal Costs Expenses

Legal costs incurred by the insurer’s approved panel of solicitors up to £50,000 to pursue:

Defective goods or services provided to your Park Home
Compensation following an accident for death or injury
An Employment Tribunal
Nuisance or trespass to your Park Home property
Disputes with the park owner where your Park Home is situated
Compensation against someone who damages your Park Home
A probate dispute
Defence of a breach of contract against you for goods sold privately that relate to your Park Home.
Liaison with credit reference agencies if you are a victim of identity theft
Writing a letter to a social media website to request removal of a defamatory comment about you.

Legal Exclusions

Significant Exclusions

As with all policies of this type there are some things which are not covered. These are the limitations and exclusions that we think are significant. Full details or all limitations and exclusions can be found in the relevant cover section of the policy wording.

You are not covered under Park Home Legal Expenses for:

Claims or proceedings that arise outside of the UK, IOM or Channel Islands
Costs for claims incurred without the insurers prior consent
Claims that arise between you and someone you live with or have lived with
Claims where to insurer deems there is no prospect of success
Costs for legal representation from outside of the insurers approved solicitors list
Claims below £250 (plus vat) brought against you or pursued for you for Defective Goods Claims
Claims for stress, psychological or emotional injury unless linked to a physical injury are excluded for injury claims
Any Employment Tribunal or action against a park owner brought within the first 90 days of the policy
Trespass or nuisance arising from divorce or matrimonial matters.
Financial compensation for physical damage in respect of a contract that you have entered into
Defamatory claims on social media if you are under 18 years of age.

Home Emergency Cover

The home emergency insurance cover is designed to provide you with assistance in your park home when an emergency arises from an incident covered under the policy.

Boiler breakdown included

Plumbing & Drainage
Leaks caused by the unexpected failure of the drainage system or internal plumbing (including central heating pipes).

Primary Heating System
Cover for the complete breakdown of the central heating system which results in the loss of heating and/or hot water.

Roofing
Emergency repairs following missing, broken or loose tiles causing internal water damage.

Alternative Heating
Receive up to £50 towards the cost of alternative heating sources where these are deemed necessary in the event a claim has occurred.

Internal Electricity
Covers your internal electrics supplying power to your park home following electrical failure of at least one complete circuit.

Pest Infestation
Cover for the removal of certain types of pest infestation (such as a wasp or hornet nest, mice, rats or cockroaches) from the park home.

Overnight Accommodation
Overnight accommodation only where it has not been possible to resolve the emergency following an accepted claim for emergency repairs by a contractor under another section of the policy and the park home is rendered uninhabitable.

Boiler Replacement Contribution
Contribution of up to £500 towards the cost of a brand-new like for like replacement upon production of an original receipt for payment.

Flood Re Cover

Flood Re

This scheme is a way to help people living at risk of flood get access to affordable park home insurance.

Park Home Assist have become one of the first Park Home Insurers to assist park home owners who struggle to obtain flood cover for their park home when their property may be in a flood risk area. With many insurers refusing to provide any insurance cover for such high risk-areas, Park Home Assist have at least been able to provide cover for clients but flood cover was excluded. Park Home Assist are now able to provide flood cover to many of those park home owners with the implementation of the government-backed scheme, Flood Re.

With our award-winning claims service, and also being voted by the Insurance Industry as ‘2020 Personal Lines Broker of the Year’, with Flood Re cover now available to many park home owners in those high-risk flood areas, Park Home Assist really is the place to insure your Park Home.

How does Flood Re work?

Every insurer that offers home insurance in the UK must pay into the Flood Re Scheme, regardless as to whether they offer the Flood Re scheme or not. This is a levy which raises £180m every year that Flood Re use to cover the flood risks in home insurance policies.

Flood Re works in partnership only with member insurers behind the scenes. When you purchase your park home insurance cover, your insurer can choose to pass the flood risk element of your policy if you live in a high flood risk area to Flood Re for a fixed price, rather than decline to provide you flood cover, or worse of all no cover at all.

If you make a valid claim for flooding, your insurer will pay the claim, and Flood Re will then reimburse your insurer from the Flood Re fund.

In short, you buy park home insurance in the usual way. Flood Re will cover the flood risk and keeps the insurance price affordable.
