Park Home Assist Review of the Year

2025 marked the 20th anniversary of Park Home Assist, and we are proud to remain a family business. With company owners Steve and Claire Leech at the helm, we are still firmly focussed on providing the best service and value to our policy holders.

We combine innovative technology with traditional values so that we can maintain our high standards while operating efficiently.

We  listen to our customers and take your feedback very seriously. Therefore we were delighted to receive a Feefo Platinum Service Award for the fifth year running, as this is based on ratings received from real customers. We were also recognised by the UK insurance industry as a whole and were finalists in the Personal Lines Broker of the Year Award at the 2025 British Insurance Awards. Thanks go to every member of our team who contributes to the service that we provide.

Weather events in 2025

As we are specialists in park and leisure home insurance, the weather plays a significant part in what we do. The end of January saw Storm Eowyn blow in with gusts reaching 100mph in South Lanarkshire in Scotland. It was one of the most intense storms in recent years and around a million homes in the UK and Ireland lost power as a result. There was much damage to infrastructure and property and over half of the leisure home insurance claims that we settled were for damage due to Storm Eowyn.

Storm Amy arrived in October bringing strong winds and very heavy rain, especially in northern and western regions. Unfortunately two of our static caravan insurance customers suffered total losses due to trees falling on their static caravans. Our award-winning claims team along with our claims co-ordinators were on hand to support them through the claims process.

In contrast, it was the warmest summer on record, with June temperatures reaching almost 30C, and four distinct heatwaves declared by the Met Office.

Anniversaries in 2025

2025 also marked the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of Northampton. Both the fire and the rebuilding of the town were commemorated with various events.

And on Remembrance Day, the 80th anniversary of VJ Day was commemorated, along with remembering all those lost in conflicts around the world.

The Canal Boat Show

In May, the Crick Boat Show celebrated its 25th anniversary, and our team was pleased to take part in the show again this year. It’s the biggest inland waterways festival in the UK and attended by thousands of boating enthusiasts over three days. There are new and historic boats to admire, boating supplies galore and innovative technology to discover. There’s always a strong community atmosphere, live music and entertainment and it was lovely to meet our boat insurance customers old and new.

The World of Park and Leisure Homes Show

It was also a pleasure to meet lots of park home insurance and leisure home insurance customers at the UK industry’s biggest show. Held in June at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire, the World of Park and Leisure Homes Show hosts hundreds of park and leisure home manufacturers, park operators, service and product suppliers. There are hundreds of park and leisure homes on display and it’s a great opportunity to meet up with old friends.

As the year draws to a close, we would like to thank all of our customers for choosing Park Home Assist and for helping us to be the company that we are. We look forward to assisting you with your insurance needs in the year ahead, and wish you health and happiness in 2026.

Please note that all insurance cover is subject to acceptance of terms and conditions.
