Money and Credit Cards Insurance Cover

It’s good to know that money and credit cards insurance cover is included as standard in a park home insurance policy from Park Home Assist.

If money belonging to you is lost, stolen or damaged (so that it can no longer be used) while in your park home, then this is covered by your insurance up a limit of £1,000 in total. If the money is kept in a safe, then this increases to £2,500. We also include cover up to £5,000 if your credit card is stolen from your park home and then fraudulently used.

Optional money and credit cards insurance cover 

At Park Home Assist, we also give you the option to extend the insurance cover for your money and credit cards, when it is away from the home, anywhere in the world.

If you’re a frequent traveller or even if you have just popped to the shops, then this is well worth considering.

This optional extra insurance covers you for up to £1,000 cash (or £2,500 if it’s kept in a safe, including a hotel safe). If your credit card is stolen anywhere in the world, we will cover you for up to £5,000 if someone has fraudulently used it.

It’s hard to put a value on the peace of mind in knowing that you’re covered by an award-winning insurance company and that you’ll be dealt with sensitively, should you need to make a claim.

Please note that this is optional additional insurance cover and only applies if stated in your insurance schedule.

Your responsibilities

For your money and credit card insurance cover to be valid, you must comply with the following requirements:

  • Report any loss or theft of money or any credit card to the local police within 24 hours of discovering the loss or theft.
  • Inform the credit card company about the loss or theft within 24 hours of discovering the loss or theft.
  • Keep to the conditions of the credit card and use it properly.

What is not covered by your money and credit card insurance cover

The following is not covered as part of your insurance:

  • Loss or theft by you or a member of your family.
  • Loss or damage caused by loss of value.
  • Loss or damage caused by your money being confiscated or held legally by officials or authorities.
  • Shortages caused by mistakes.
  • Loss or damage occurring while the park home is let or lent.
  • Financial loss if you have not kept to the conditions of the credit card.
  • Loss or damage caused by not using the credit card properly.
